TRÊS – Catálogo

Catalogo TRES

The catalog for the exhibition TRÊS was developed as an editorial project centered on the relationship between collective identity and individual artistic language. Bringing together the works of Kazuo Iha, Lourdes Barreto, and Marcos Varela, the publication reflects the long-standing artistic, academic, and personal connection shared by the three artists through decades of teaching and artistic production at the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

For this project, I developed the cover design, exhibition logo, and the complete editorial structure of the catalog. The graphic concept was designed to reinforce the exhibition’s central idea: creating visual unity between the artists while preserving the singularity of each body of work. Through careful pagination, rhythm, and image sequencing, the catalog creates transitions between distinct artistic languages without dissolving their individual identities.

The editorial design balances institutional clarity with expressive visual composition, allowing painting, printmaking, drawing, and object-based works to coexist within a cohesive reading experience. The result is a publication that functions both as exhibition documentation and as an extension of the curatorial dialogue between the three artists.
